New platform debuts as CollegeAPP surpasses 300,000 completed survey milestone

[La Canada Flintridge, CA]:  CollegeAPP, the leading predictive analytics service for adult-centered higher education marketing, is excited to introduce the creation of CareerAPP, a new solution built specifically to help partners connect with adults actively seeking education and career advancement. CareerAPP is designed to bridge the gap between job-seeking adults and the programs that can help them upskill, reskill, or transition into new careers.

The new service will also include the debut of four predictive models trained on person-level interest in career-based programs and pathways, including skills-based trades. The models include:

  • Intent to Enroll

    • Predicts individuals who are likely to pursue further education or training.

  • Intent to Seek a New Job

    • Identifies adults actively exploring new career opportunities.

  • Education Attainment

    • Assesses current education levels to align prospects with appropriate program types.

  • Program of Interest

    • Pinpoints interest in high-demand fields such as:

  • Skilled Trades

  • Health Care

  • IT / Cybersecurity

“A job is just a posting until someone fills it,” said Jack MacKenzie, CEO of CollegeAPP and now CareerAPP

“There are millions of adults looking for career changes and advancements, and most need more than an employment ad to understand what it takes to get those jobs. They need training, upskilling and in some cases certifications and degrees. Our team will help our partners identify audiences at the person-level for each of those circumstances and give them the power to run efficient and successful recruitment and enrollment campaigns.”

CareerAPP is powered by insights from hundreds of thousands of survey responses collected across the country over the past six years. These responses have been combined with sophisticated data science techniques to create machine learning algorithms that predict who has intent and interest in a variety of work and education pathways. Like its predecessor, CareerAPP’s predictive models are finely tuned to reflect the unique blend of survey data, demographics, educational attainment, and economic opportunity in each state.

Tara Conrad, CollegeAPP Vice President for Community and Technical Colleges

Tara Conrad, Vice President for Community and Technical Colleges, said the new approach is already showing results.

“We have been testing the new models with partners across the country for the past several months.  Whether for advanced manufacturing programs, allied health fields or certificate-driven skilled trades, CareerAPP data is driving impressive engagement rates and enrollments. We all know that post-secondary education is not one-size fits all, there are important nuances and having both CollegeAPP and CareerAPP is recognition of those differences.”
